Education Savings Account (ESA) Policy

Effective Date: 1.1.26

KTA+ proudly supports families who participate in their state’s Education Savings Account (ESA) programs.

Education Savings Accounts (ESAs) are state-authorized programs in the United States that allow parents to use a portion of their child’s public education funding for approved educational services, materials, and programs — including faith-based and online learning options.

💡 How It Works

If your state offers an ESA program, you may be able to use ESA funds toward your child’s participation in KTA+ programs, including curriculum access, online courses, and micro-school or co-op resources.
Each state determines its own ESA rules — including eligible expenses, provider approval, and reimbursement processes.

Parents or guardians are responsible for confirming ESA eligibility and approval with their state’s ESA administrator before enrolling or making purchases through KTA+.

🧾 KTA+ Participation

KTA+ educational programs are designed for accredited homeschool, co-op, and micro-school environments, and may qualify under categories such as “curriculum,” “online learning,” or “private educational services” in your state’s ESA program.

Where applicable, families can submit their KTA+ enrollment documentation and receipts directly to their state ESA program for reimbursement or payment, subject to that program’s rules.

⚙️ How To Apply Your ESA Funds

  1. Check your state’s ESA program: Visit your state’s Department of Education or ESA website to confirm eligibility and approved expenses.

  2. Review vendor requirements: Some states require pre-approval of educational providers or invoice verification.

  3. Purchase or enroll with KTA+: You may use your ESA account card, direct payment, or reimbursement method depending on your state’s guidelines.

  4. Keep documentation: Retain receipts, proof of enrollment, and communications for your ESA audit or reimbursement process.
